TrendBook, in partnership with CovetED Magazine, shares with the latest design trends from Milan. The rounded shapes trend was spotted during Salone del Mobile 2019 event. See how Fendi Casa with Interior Designer Cristina Celestino, turned this design trend into reality.
Once again, FENDI teams up again with architect and interior designer Cristina Celestino. During Isaloni 2019, FENDI opened doors of its space on to unveil “Back Home” collection. A special installation showing the latest pieces designed by Cristina Celestino for the Roman luxury house and produced by Luxury Living Group.
Armed with her signature style, which combines a delicate touch resulting from a thorough research and an audacious sensibility for colors and rounded shapes, Cristina Celestino reworked the Pequin, – which FENDI introduced in 1987, the same year of the launch of its Casa interior design line, – to create a refined and creative range of statement pieces.
Rooted in FENDI’s legendary sophisticated aesthetic, the “Back Home” collection shows an intriguing combination of materials, spanning from timeless and elegant marbles and onyxes to fascinating metallic surfaces showing surprising tactile and color effects.
Curved, soft silhouettes define the selection of armchairs and sofas where the Pequin stripes take the center stage with their geometric, almost mannish look counterbalancing the femininity of the shapes. FENDI’s signature geometric motif explodes in a vortex for the rose-like design – from FENDI archives, designed by Karl Lagerfeld in 1983 – of the coffee tables and the carpets, where the FF logo discretely appears with grace and elegance.
The “Back Home” collection presented at the new FENDI Casa exhibition space on the occasion of the Salone Internazionale Del Mobile 2019, as a tribute to Cristina Celestino’s creativity and design philosophy that creates subtle, sophisticated connections with the FENDI Casa Collection lifestyle. A keen eye for colour and materials, which blend in delicately with the furniture.
