Maison&Objet, the first design event of the year brings with it many new collections and collaborations from famous brands, new concepts and emerging designers showcasing their works.

 

This year’s event we spotted many trends with innovations in materials and product design and new ways of thinking in terms of home decoration.

As designers tend toward more eco-friendly options. Nature’s influence is shown in the way the spaces are presented and the materials used in production.

There’s increasing use of wood in the year ahead. From light to gray, the material was a popular choice among designers, who foresaw it being used to “warm-up” interiors.

 

 

A sensory experience in Maison&Objet, the first design event of the year, is carved on objects that surround us as a counterbalance to be in contact with a digital surface most. We crave for touch with surfaces that are soft, raw, porous, and stimulate our senses when in touch.
