(Sottsass founded Memphis Group, the collective of designers that started the movement, in 1981.) Squiggly, abstract shapes? That\u2019s Memphis. Thick, black-and-white stripes alongside pops of neon and primary colours? That\u2019s Memphis. Elementary school jungle gym\u2013meets\u2013intergalactic spacecraft\u2013style architecture? That\u2019s right\u2014Memphis!<\/p>\n
